How to Sell Lending and Financial Leads

How to sell lending leads to funders, lenders and dealers that each buy a narrow slice of borrowers. Match the product, the borrower's numbers and the buyer's licensed states to a funded buyer before you build traffic.

The short version

Lending is several markets under one name. Of the 119 companies in our directory, 28 publish business funding qualifiers, 16 personal loan qualifiers, 14 mortgage, 13 debt and 9 auto financing, and each product is screened on different numbers.

It is also a market of middlemen. 51 companies run networks, exchanges or marketplaces and 35 both buy and sell, so you will sell to funders directly and to networks that resell. Several price or pay only on funded loans, and several vet the buyer's license before selling.

Sign buyers first, have each fund a balance, and keep overflow ready, because a borrower outside every buyer's box is still a cost. Aged files have their own buyers here, so plan that second tier from the start.

Who buys lending and financial leads

Lending sites describe four main kinds of buyers. Some fund or service the borrower themselves; others buy to resell.

BuyerWhat they buyWhat to know
Business funders, brokers and merchant cash advance shopsExclusive real-time leads, live transfers and aged files from owners actively seeking funding, screened on revenue or deposits, time in business and credit.Several sellers sell fixed packages, and one asks for a business license number. Agree revenue and time-in-business thresholds before the first lead, since a few sellers credit borrowers below them.
Personal, installment and short-term lendersReal-time applications screened on credit, income and employment, some bought through a ping tree or de-identified ping. One network here lets lenders bid before any personal details are shared. Ping with state and credit_range, and respect each lender's states.
Car dealers and auto finance companiesSubprime and special finance buyers with a completed credit application and an income above the dealer's minimum.Several auto sellers sell each lead to one dealership only. One credits refinance requests and out-of-area leads, so capture both.
Lead networks, exchanges and loan marketplacesLending leads and calls from publishers by API, ping post or tracking link, some paid per funded loan.A few hold publisher pay until their own buyer pays, and one reverses pay on invalid leads. Read the payout terms and keep a source sub ID and consent certificate on every lead.

The lending and financial lead buyer directory lists every company we found that publicly buys or sells lending and financial leads, with what each one says it does. It is a research starting point, with no contact details.

Start with exclusive real-time web leads, offered by most companies in this directory, and add aged files as your overflow tier. Live transfers and inbound calls are common here, but Juiced distributes web leads, so calls need separate call tracking.

What to capture and screen for

  • The loan product and purpose, so the lead reaches a buyer that funds it.
  • For business funding: monthly revenue or deposits, time in business, requested amount and a credit range.
  • For personal and short-term loans: credit standing, income, employment and state.
  • For auto: credit status, monthly income and whether it is a purchase or a refinance.
  • For debt help: debt type and an estimated unsecured balance.
  • Phone and email validation and a duplicate check before the lead is sold.
  • A consent certificate URL and a source sub ID on every lead.

Building it, in order

  1. Pick the loan products before the traffic

Decide which products you will sell and find buyers for each first. A merchant cash advance funder, a short-term lender and a subprime dealer buy different leads screened on different numbers.

  2. Learn each buyer's box and license

Ask for the states they are licensed in, the credit, revenue, income or debt minimums they need, and how many leads they can take. Several sellers here ask for a license number or licensed states before selling; do the same, since those answers become the buyer's filters.

  3. Get every buyer to fund a balance

Several lending sellers invoice or offer trial batches. Do not copy that. No free sample leads, no promised volume by a date and no invoices: in Juiced the buyer funds a wallet before leads arrive and is charged as each lead is delivered.

  4. Write the return policy per product

Before the first lead, write which reasons earn a credit, such as bad contact details, duplicates or a borrower outside the agreed filters, and what proof you need. Set aged terms separately; several sellers here sell aged as is. In Juiced, approved returns are credited back to the wallet.

  5. Build a lead type per product

Add each product's screens as fields, such as monthly_revenue and time_in_business_months for business funding. Mark what a buyer needs to decide as required for ping and keep contact fields for the post.

  6. Let competing buyers bid

Where a borrower fits more than one buyer's box, let them compete instead of fixing one price with one lender. Buyers bid above your minimum and the highest bid wins the lead in seconds.

  7. Have overflow ready

Unsold leads are the biggest avoidable cost. Aged lending files have their own buyers, so in Juiced leads no buyer takes go to your own marketplace, where the price falls until someone buys with Buy Now or a standing Buy Order.

  8. Record the source behind every borrower

Several networks here ban incentivized traffic, bot traffic or brand bidding, and a few hold or forfeit publisher pay on fraud. Keep a source sub ID on each lead so when a funder flags a bad borrower you can trace and cut the source.

  9. Set expectations on the first call

Tell each buyer what a lead is, what earns a credit and that not every borrower will fund. Several sellers here price on funded loans for this reason; if you sell per lead, say so plainly up front.

What makes lending and financial different

  • The supply side is unusually deep: 51 companies run networks, exchanges or marketplaces and 35 both buy and sell.
  • Buyers are vetted. Several sellers ask for a license number, licensed states, an existing lender relationship or a record of closings before selling.
  • Several companies price or pay only when a loan funds or closes, alongside the usual per-lead pricing.
  • Aged merchant cash advance files are a product of their own, sold by age band, and several sellers say aged cannot be returned.
  • State limits matter: state is the top buyer filter, and a few sellers exclude consumers in named states.

Common mistakes

  • Mixing loan products in one lead type so funders receive borrowers they cannot serve.
  • Selling into states where the buyer is not licensed because nobody asked for its licensed states.
  • Leaving out revenue, time in business or income, then arguing over returns when a borrower falls below a minimum.
  • Copying the invoice and trial terms several lending sellers use instead of collecting a funded balance first.
  • Giving one lender every borrower at a flat price when the same borrower fits other buyers' boxes too.
  • Treating aged files as an afterthought instead of planning them as the overflow tier.
  • Buying traffic from publishers without a source sub ID, so one fraudulent source poisons a funder relationship.

Frequently asked

Which lending product should I start with?

Start with the product you already have funded buyers for. Business funding has the deepest seller bench in our data, with 28 companies publishing its qualifiers, so expect competition and capture revenue, time in business and requested amount from the first lead.

Should I sell per lead or per funded loan?

Most companies here price per lead, but several price or pay only on funded or closed loans. Per lead with a funded balance up front keeps your cash flow predictable; whatever you choose, put it in the agreement.

Do lending buyers expect exclusive leads?

Most companies here offer exclusive leads, and several also offer shared or let the buyer choose. Exclusivity is the question lending FAQs answer most, so state the buyer count per product in writing.

How do I sell to networks as well as direct lenders?

Several networks here buy by API, ping post or ping tree. Read their payout terms: a few hold publisher pay until their own buyer pays, and one reverses pay on invalid leads.

What do lending sellers say about do-not-call?

Several say they scrub against do-not-call or litigator lists, a few say they do not scrub by default, and several put compliance on the buyer. The rules themselves are published by the FCC and FTC.

Is there a market for aged lending leads?

Yes. 33 companies sell aged leads, and aged merchant cash advance files are sold by age band. Several sellers sell aged as is with no returns, so set aged terms separately.

What do lending and financial leads sell for?

No prices are published here. Sellers rarely publish them, and what a lending and financial lead sells for depends on whether it is exclusive or shared, a web lead or a call, the geography, how fresh it is and how many buyers want it. The pay-per-lead pricing guide shows how to work out your own floor from cost and let buyers bid above it.

Does Juiced handle lending and financial calls or live transfers?

No. Juiced distributes web leads and delivers them by webhook, email or text. It does not track or route phone calls, so if calls are part of your product you need call tracking software for that side.
